Crazy Trip '10...Goodbye, Austin! (part 2)

The rest of Monday was spent frantically canceling all of our Tuesday and Wednesday plans (which included getting other moms to cover my lesson at history co-op and lead book club for me -- thanks, guys!) and trying to figure out how to pack for four people as lightly as possible. Monday night was spent at the Express game. So, needless to say, Tuesday morning came quickly. Bill (saint that he is) got up at 5:30 to drive us to the airport. We checked in, got through security, and had lots of time to eat a leisurely airport breakfast.

The flight itself was uneventful, and Courtney was very brave. Once we landed, the kids were a bit restless and excited, and they had a little too much fun on the moving walkways.

We finally managed to rein them in for long enough to ask for directions.

A short shuttle ride later, we arrived at our friend Heather's apartment.

Heather, Monty, and son Austin moved to San Francisco just a matter of weeks ago. They're living in a small but fabulous apartment right downtown -- and across the street from the Giants stadium! They were generous enough to offer us a place to stay, and we had so much fun with them!
