Ahhh, Monahhhco

Days 8-13
The second week of our trip was spent in Monaco, one of the most pleasant and least stressful places on the planet. And boy did we need it! We stayed at a fantastic hotel, the Meridien Beach Plaza with rooms overlooking the Riviera.

We spent hours and hours lounging by the beach, drinking absurdly expensive cocktails and relaxing. The water was a little chilly when we first got to Monaco, but throughout the week, it warmed up considerably.

One of the days, we went out on a boat and Avery and Caroline were pulled behind in inner tubes. It was pretty surreal to be driven around the Mediterranean with my daughter dangling from the back! She loved it, though. I don't think she or Linah stopped laughing the entire time.

We also spent lots of time walking around exploring the sites and enjoying Monaco's incredible scenery.

And it seemed that everywhere we turned, we came across another outdoor art installation.

I really can't say too much about how wonderful Monaco is. It's beautiful, the people are friendly and polite, and the food is fantastic. Our week there passed so peacefully...we were so sorry to have to leave!
