This weekend Avery had two performances for Showteam. The theme was "the 80s", and they danced to Madonna's Lucky Star. The girls were all dressed up in cut up tshirts and side pony tails. Very cute!
How funny! Did you explain to Avery what "the 80s" were? I'm waiting for the American Girl to come out...can't you just see it?! There's so much HISTORY there - the death of Disco, the birth of heavy metal, Mtv, Reagan-omics, fall of Communism, Ghostbusters...MARY LOU!!!! It's endless.
Ha! Can you imagine the clothes? She could have her own tiny little leg warmers! And the doll could be named Tiffany, Jennifer, or Kelly!
At first, she was clueless about the 80s (she came home talking about this "crazy song" they were dancing to by Madonna). But we showed her the movie Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and now she gets it. ;-)
