Rangers come to Round Rock

The day after returning from our beach trip, we went to the second annual Texas Rangers v. Round Rock Express game.  It's so fun to be able to see all our favorite players up close!

Griffin is 7!

We spent Griffin's 7th birthday in Corpus Christi with three other families.  Our original plan had been to go camping at Inks Lake, but with Avery and Maya suffering from seasonal allergies, we found ourselves in need of a Plan B.  After much discussion, internet searching, and countless phone calls, we settled on a beach trip. We rented condos and mixed up the children and parents so that the kids could spend the nights with their best friends.  So really, we had a multi-night sleepover at the beach, complete with learning to surf, lots of boogie boarding, cooking hot dogs and s'mores on the beach, and tons of pool time too.  It was a completely wonderful trip, and we headed back home feeling exhausted, sunburned, and content.  We feel so lucky to know these families that we all enjoy so much.

Hunger Games release party

We got together with some of the kids from book club for a Hunger Games party the night the movie came out.  The kids played some games, ate, and had a quick scavenger hunt before heading out for a midnight showing of the movie.  We were tired the next day, but the movie was so good and the night was so fun that it was definitely worth it!

Crowe's Nest Farm

A couple of days ago we spent the morning at Crowe's Nest Farm.  We hadn't been since Avery was little, so I figured we were due!

I only managed to get one picture of all the kids, and Griffin wasn't really in the picture mood.

We also made a startling discovery while at the farm.  The resemblance is uncanny, no?
